Lindsay: The formula is very gentle and conditioning with avocado, apricot kernel and argan oils, yet effective when you need to quickly refresh your client’s color and condition at the same time. Plus, the shade palette ranges from natural, rich brunette to vibrant pink so there is something for everyone.
Jennifer: They are a quick and easy way to refresh the tone in the hair and also incorporate fun pops of color with low commitment.
Do you have any tips on how to retail Color Fresh Masks?
Lindsay: I recommend setting up a display in a place that’s visible to the client. I like to ask clients during the consultation about their at-home maintenance and how often they want or can come back to the salon for root touch ups or glossing. This is an easy way to bring up Color Fresh Masks as a way to extend the longevity of their color and health of their hair. If I use it as a toner at the shampoo bowl, I make sure to explain what I’m using, the benefits, show them the bottle and let them know it’s available for purchase.
How do you talk to your clients about them?
Lindsay: I present Wella Professionals Color Fresh Mask as a conditioning treatment with built in color so they can do their own color gloss at home and keep their color looking fresh in between visits.
Jennifer: I actually made a swatch ring so I love showing them all the shades and I walk them through how easy it is to use to refresh their tone when needed.
Any professional tips you give your clients?
Lindsay: I recommend they start by detangling their hair before applying and section their hair in 2-3 sections depending on the density of their hair. Also, wear gloves especially if using a darker or vibrant shade.
Jennifer: I recommend using gloves for all applications especially for the heavily pigmented tones. We don’t recommend mixing the shades together so I would just recommend one shade per client. Always apply on shampood, towel-dried hair.
As a pro stylist, what do you like best about Color Fresh Masks?
Lindsay: I love that they are easy to use, process in as little as 10 minutes and leave the hair feeling amazing!
Jennifer: I love using them for clients who want low commitment and subtle changes in tone for their hair. Whether it's changing from a warmer blonde to a cooler blonde or to a soft pink, it allows me to be creative and for them to have something at home to maintain their color until their next appointment.
