Using the "C" Cutting motion

Top Section of the hair is all free hand shaping:
Clipper blade in the closed position making the section symmetrical

Trimming:
Start in the center of the head and place the Andis Slimline Pro Li in the center of the head placing your index finger on the head before engaging the trimmer blade to the hair and TAP LIGHTLY. 
 

Backhand Cutting
1. Place the clipper in your dominant hand with the blade facing towards your wrist. 

2. Place your comb between your index finger and middle finger and hold tightly like  making a fist. ( It will feel uncomfortable until you get used to it) 

3. Pull a section of the hair between your fingers with your comb and clipper in hand to your desired length and place the blade parallel and flat on your finger and glide the blade until the section is cut.

Bonus - Use the same technique to point cut, instead of gliding the blade against the tops of the fingers you can make small cuts into the hair as if you were using shears to point cut.
