Strip vs. Individual Lash tips:
1. Strip Lashes are to be worn as a daily wear accessory.
2. Strip Lashes are adhered to the lid skin very close to the lash line but NOT on the natural lashes.
3. Strip Lashes are a great service for those individuals that do not have natural eyelash hairs because they are adhered to the lid skin not the hair, e.g. cancer survivors, alopecia diagnosed clients.
4. Strip Lashes can be removed by gently pulling them from the outer corner to the inner corner of the eye.
5. Strip Lashes are reusable.
6. Individual Lashes are adhered to the hairs very close to the lash line but NOT on the skin.
7. Individual Lashes last 1 to 2 weeks with proper home care and requires professional maintenance.
8. Oil or oil-based products are not recommended to be used near eyes while wearing Individual Lashes.
9. If a client wants to wear Individual Lashes for a special day like a wedding, they should be applied the day before or two days before the wedding so they have fully cured onto the natural lashes.
Application tips:
10. You can apply Strip Lashes with your hands, tweezers or a lash applicator.
11. No matter what method of application, wash your hands thoroughly before each appointment, and make sure your client knows you have clean hands.
12. It is best to measure Strip Lashes on each eye to be sure it fits; if it is too long, trim the lash from the outer edge, closest to the ears.
13. The package that Ardell Strip Lashes come in can be used as an “Eyelash Suitcase”. Give the empty package and tray to the client so she has a place to put her strip lashes in at night.
14. Strip Lashes should be applied after makeup (if your client is going to wear any) so the eye shadow fall-out does not collect on top of the strip lash.
15. Ardell Individual Lashes come in three lengths: short, medium, and long.
16. Individual lashes should be applied to clean, makeup free natural eyelashes.
Adhesive and Removal tips:
17. Ardell Strip Adhesive is called Lash Grip. It comes in dark, which changes color to black, and clear, which comes out white and dries clear.
18. Ardell Strip Adhesive LashGrip (Regular) DOES contain latex. If your client is allergic to latex and wants to wear Ardell Strip Lashes, use the non-latex formula, Ardell Brush-On Striplash Adhesive or LashGrip with Biotin & Rosewater.
19. Ardell Lash Grip does not have a remover as you can just remove the lashes by gently pulling.
20. Ardell Individual Adhesive is called Lash Tite and Does NOT contain latex. It comes in dark and clear.
21. Ardell Lash Tite Adhesive has a compatible remover called Lash Free.
22. If your client is sensitive to dyes, it’s recommended to use the clear version of any Ardell Adhesive.
23. Use a dappen dish 2 ways! When applying lashes, turn it upside down and dab a small amount of adhesive on the bottom to work from. When removing lashes, keep it right side up and pour a small amount of remover inside. This way, you can repeatedly dip in the remover without contaminating your bottle.
General tips:
24. The reason everyone loves lashes is because it makes everyone look younger, regardless of age.
25. Lash everyone! From yourself to the other techs and stylists, to the front desk, to janitorial, lash everyone in your salon or spa - nothing is a better "walking billboard" for your services than the people your clients see when they enter!
