What makes it drop resistant?

The OPI Star Light is made with 58% metal and 25% OPI Resist Polymer. This combination is what makes it incredibly durable, so if it falls off your workstation or someone bumps into it, it will resist functional damage. There is a steel handle for easy transportation to and from stations or jobs. And, rubber feet allow for stability - so no more sliding around! Consider this your trusted sidekick from now on.

 

How long will the OPI Star Light last?

The OPI Star Light has been tested for thousands of hours under continuous use - which is proven to be comparable to several years of salon usage. And, OPI is offering a 2-year limited warranty - one of the longest available to pros!

One major bonus for longevity in the salon is the gray finish. Unlike white or black lamps, this won’t show dust, dirt or imperfections. If you get gel polish on the lamp, no sweat. The OPI Star Light is acetone resistant thanks to its OPI Resist Polymer exterior, so you can either clean gel off with N.A.S. 99, or if it’s cured, use lacquer remover.

When you do need to clean it, it's a snap! Between services, remove the hand plate, wash and allow it to dry. Follow that up by spraying the plate with EPA registered cleaning solution on both sides, then wipe it down. When the lamp is unplugged and cool, wipe down the interior and exterior (making sure to avoid the LED diodes) with a disinfectant cloth or cleaning solution. You can even purchase additional hand plates so you can have a disinfected plate prepped and ready to go and not spend extra time rushing between services.

 

What makes the curing so great?

Inside, there’s a mirrored interior for even light distribution with 22 targeted LED diodes. This is what gives off the uniform light output allowing for precision curing across all 5 fingers and toes. The removable hand plate has a 5-finger stopper guide that ensures proper hand placement inside the lamp. There is also a Manual/Auto Mode with hand sensor that activates the preset timer. 

 

How hot does the lamp get?

Making sure your clients are comfortable for every mani/pedi is extremely important, so OPI designed the lamp to dissipate heat through optimized construction and heat emission vents in the back. On top of that, the 3-second and 5-second timer modes allow for precise flash curing which is designed to minimize heat spikes.

 

What makes it ergonomic?

OPI worked with nail pros around the world to design a lamp that works better for you. To name a few things, they created a wide opening and spacious interior for a variety of hand and nail sizes, adjustable feet for more comfortable pedicures and placed the digital timer and buttons in the rear so they face you while you’re working.
 

The hand plate is super simple to use. The flat plate guides the hand to proper placement for precision curing. When a hand is inserted, your clients can feel for the 5-finger stopper guide which features 4 grooves for fingers and a pad for clear thumb placement. These finger stoppers blend in with the plate’s flat surface to ensure your client is comfortable. And pedicure services? So easy! Simply remove the hand plate and pull out the adjustable feet for a comfortable pedicure.
