Modernized Packaging
The most noticeable update to all the Zotos perm offerings is brand-new packaging. From Acclaim to Quantum and everything in between, all Zotos perms now use a coherent, sleek design. Perm names, instructions and ingredients are clearly displayed on a white background for better readability. But - even though the box designs are new, the colors remain the same! So if you’re used to identifying these perms by their colors, it’s still as easy as ever.
Formula Improvements
While these are the same perms you know and love, Zotos has made some minor tweaks to their formulas, leading to some serious benefits that you should know about:
Scent: The Quantum line now includes a patented odor eliminator, meaning a fresher scent in the salon and a more pleasant experience for the client in your chair. And the beloved Apple Pectin perm now contains MORE apple pectin!
Conditioning Power: Several perms have been reformulated with new ingredients to keep your clients’ hair moisturized and healthy. The Design Freedom perms benefit from the addition of crosilk, a substance made up of naturally-derived silk proteins that nourish and protect the hair. The Acclaim Plus Extra Body has been fully reformulated with next-level conditioning in mind.
Fewer Chemicals: Many Zotos perm products have removed certain ingredients in an effort to reduce overall chemical impact on the hair. These include DMDM, sodium borate, pent pentetate, diazolidinyl urea, D4/D5 and imidazolidinyl.
Streamlined Perm Options
Zotos reviewed their entire line of 22 perms and reduced that number to 12, providing new focus for stylists by ending the duplication of some perms that served the same purpose as others. Quantum Perms
Quantum's tried and true formulas contain Equalizer 3™ conditioner to balance porosity for even, predictable curl formation. The advanced conditioning neutralizer, with Aroma-Fresh™ fragrance and formulated with Argan Oil from Morocco, helps add radiant shine for manageable, healthy-looking curls.
What Makes it Special: Waving Lotion with Equalizer 3™ Conditioner + Advanced Conditioning Neutralizer with Aroma-Fresh™ Fragrance (formulated with Argan Oil from Morocco).
Pro Tip: Classic Body formula offers a "non-permed" look for shorter hair and is ideal for first-time clients.
Design Freedom Perms
With Design Freedom, you have the option to use a water wrap for softer, more open curls and a lotion wrap for thick, resistant hair or for firm, defined curls. GFE™ neutralizer, with natural grapefruit extracts, helps lock in the curl while providing healthy-looking shine and manageability.
What Makes it Special: GFE™ neutralizer, with natural grapefruit extracts.
Pro Tip: Excellent for long and heavy hair, select Design Freedom when dealing with varying porosity with resistant areas.
Acclaim Perms
Acclaim provides true-to-rod size curls with consistent, predictable results. The neutralizer, with exclusive Zotosol™ conditioners, helps replenish moisture and strengthen the hair for healthy-looking shine, smooth feel and greater styling control.
What Makes it Special: Exclusive Zotosol™ conditioners.
Pro Tip: Use the Regular formula for soft curls, and Extra Body or Plus Extra Body for medium to firm curls. Acclaim Plus Extra Body contains fortifying KBF™ Flow Lotion with Keratin.
Texture EFX Perms
Create beautiful texture and soft curls while leaving the hair healthy-looking and conditioned with Texture EFX! With a smaller molecular size and positive magnetic charge, this formula easily and gently penetrates the hair shaft leaving the cuticle better protected against damage. The patented Fortifying Splash, with a specially formulated Keratide protein complex, provides unique odor neutralizing properties and helps to strengthen hair against combing breakage.
What Makes it Special: Leave-In Fortifying Splash with Keratide protein complex.
Pro Tip: For clients with damaged hair, Texture EFX creates soft, workable curls.
Apple Pectin Perm
Apple Pectin Perm, with collagen peptides, produces long-lasting, true-to-rod size curls. The conditioning neutralizer has a fresh apple scent and leaves curls manageable and shiny.
What Makes it Special: Conditioning neutralizer with a fresh apple scent.
Pro Tip: Select this perm for medium curls on normal, resistant or tinted hair (up to 20 volume). Dryer heat is required!
